Top > ・Bioimaging:Long Afterglow Nanoparticles
Since bioimaging can make cancer and the like visible, it is one of the indispensable and important technologies in the medical field. One big problem about it is autofluorescence. Irradiation with excitation light results in fluorescence of the marker and fluorescent materials existed in the cells , and it makes the marker hard to be recognized. Our research group used the property that the long afterglow phosphor continues to glow even after blocking the excitation light, and we proposed using the long afterglow particles as a marker was able to solve the problem, and prepared such particles. Now research groups over many countries are studying this.
