Our group is studying a field of chemistry and physics fusion. Currently, we pay our particular attention to "Nanomaterials" that new features and new applications are expected in the field of materials, and we do research mainly for biology, environment and energy.

Types of Nanoparticles
・Ceramics nano materials (oxide (ZnO, Y2 O3 :RE), silicate (Sr2 MgSi2 O7 :RE))
・A semiconductor quantum dot (InP)
Synthesis Method
We manufacture nanoparticles by two methods mainly.
・Chemical method:Solution method, thermal decomposition method
Nanoparticles are synthesized in solution using a chemical reaction.
The thermal decomposition is a method which synthesizes a uniform nanoparticle in large quantities using a metal complex.
・Physical method:Fluid phase laser ablation
Irradiation with a laser beam to the target material in solution causes ablation and makes a nanoparticle.
It can easily make a nanoparticle out of the material which used to have difficulties with making nanoparticles before.
